ABOUT ME
THEN: I began my student career at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities where I received a bachelor's degree in philosophy. During this time I found my way into the service industry. Here I spent five years doing everything from hosting to serving at Surly Brewing, and I poured beers at the James Beard-nominated restaurant, The Brewer’s Table.
NOW: I can usually be found reading, running, doing yoga, re-watching the Lord of the Ring’s Trilogy (yes, again), building Harry Potter LEGO sets, perfecting my popcorn-making technique, and (attempting to) save my garden tomatoes from the squirrels.
NEXT: I love diving into contexts that are not my own and find it amazing how the smallest or least-expected details can have the most impact. UX design perfectly blends my philosophical background in understanding and untangling others’ points of view, my service-industry experience of collaborating on multi-disciplinary teams ( especially during a hectic Saturday night dinner service), and my desire never stop learning.
